Welcome back, Art History majors and minors! We hope your first weeks of school have gone well. As you charge ahead with your studies in the fall semester, take time out to enjoy exciting events planned for you by the Art History majors committee co-chairs, Annie Hedgepeth ’26 and Adrian Peoples ’26:

October 10th, Friday, 3 – 5 p.m.: Field trip to The Glass House in New Canaan, CT. Transportation provided, set off at 1 p.m. from Usdan. Limited spots! See a message from Professor Katherine Kuenzli in your email (forthcoming).

November 7th, Friday, 12 – 1 p.m.: Open House at the Art History Commons, Boger Hall, Room 312. This is a student-led event; faculty will not be present. Meet first-year students and sophomores interested in art history and share your love for the program! Pizza lunch provided.

December 11th, Thursday, noontime: Art History Majors / Minors Holiday Lunch. A chance to meet and chat with your friendly ARHA professors the day before classes end!

More good news: the Art History Commons, our student-centered room, has a fresh, inviting look! With a brand-new table (designed and built for us by Art Studio graduate Helena Girardoni ’22) and two comfortable reading chairs, it is the perfect quiet study spot.

The new layout in the Art History Commons (also known as VRC) is a great study space to hang out and work and the majors should make use of the space whether it’s to write a paper or to take a break in between classes!
